Alison Pyrke is an interdisciplinary designer based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. Her independent design practice explores the functions and construction of footwear, proposing ways to expand the performativity of both body and wearable objects. She works as a designer, product developer, and shoe repairer employing manual methodologies both professionally and within her creative practice. All works are made by her hands and activated amongst friends and community.

Alison acknowledges the Bunurong and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People of the Kulin Nation as the traditional owners of the land in which she works and lives, and  pays respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty has never ceded.
